For Easter, “Tygodnik Powszechny” has prepared a present for its readers – an album with baroque music from the Music Festival Misteria Paschalia. It has become a tradition that music fragments from previous editions of the Festival are added as a supplement to the “Tygodnik”.
Two days before the opening of the 7th Misteria Paschalia Festival, the programme and advertisement creation of the Festival was discussed in the television programme Dzień Dobry TVN: Filip Berkowicz – artistic director of the Festival and Robert Wolański – author of the photo for the advertisement creation of the event. The most important Italian formation today performing baroque opera, Accademia Bizantina, led by the charismatic violinist and conductor – Stefan Montanari, on Tuesday before Easter, presented the great oratorio at the festival Maddalena ia piedi di Cristo by Antonio Caldara, describing the conversion of Mary Magdalene. The masterpiece of the famous Venetian composer gained an equally masterly interpretation in their performance, which the festival audience accepted with a long ovation.
